The basic aim of this lab is to help the students in acquiring knowledge and hand of training for delivery quality nursing care to antenatal, intra-natal, and postnatal mother as well as newborn and pediatrics which can be performed in actual clinical area.
The lab is well equipped with different maternity examination model, gynecological procedure model, delivery model, mannequins, charts and equipment. Child health Lab. is having various play toys, mannequins and articles which students can use to practice different pediatric procedures.
This laboratory is designed to provide knowledge and skill regarding new principals and trend in midwifery and obstetrical nursing to students. It assists students in delivering nursing care to normal and high risk pregnant women, also normal and high risk new born and neonate. It also helps in identification, prevention and nursing management of common health problems of pediatrics.
Here, students are taught to perform various types of obstetric and pediatric procedures on dummy before going in clinical area such as, hospitals and community health center etc.It provides first hand on experience to students for handling maternal and pediatric procedures with the use of simulated model.
