It is a great pleasure to be the Director of J.M.D. Institute of Nursing, managed by J.M.D. Education Trust, Gandhinagar, after retiring from the post of Principal of the most prestigious and reputed science institute of Gujarat, M G Science Institute, Ahmedabad. The trust runs J.M.D. Institute of Nursing.
We are living in a fast changing world and impact of science and scientific research in our daily life is vibrant and unavoidable. Looking to the COVID 19 pandemic it is a challenging task for nurses and student nurses to handle the situation and they are playing a vital role in managing the corona virus outbreaks. Nurses and health workers are at the forefront of COVID 19 response, working tirelessly to care for everyone's loved ones, even when their own lives are at risk. Looking to the current health care system, the demand for nursing staff will increase tremendously in coming decade. As per WHO, 6 million more nurses will be required to achieve global health target. This manifests that the future of nurses is very bright looking to their job perspective.
In J.M.D. Institute of Nursing students are exposed to a multidimensional, multicultural and challenging academic environment. The institute inculcates the value like commitment, honesty and integrity, self-discipline, fairness and firmness amongst the students. Institute is also planning to start some skill based and value based add-on courses to go with our vision and mission.
